aidóni does not have a standard pitch. We have a set of values, and we look for people and organisations who share them.
There are several ways to work with aidóni, depending on who you are and what you are trying to do. None of them are transactional. All of them involve genuine exchange.
If you are a funder, a partner organisation, a journalist, or someone whose community is affected by the realities we work on, there is a place for you here.
For funders and donors
Support work that operates where others don’t
aidóni sits at an intersection that is genuinely underserved. We are not a media organisation, a think tank, or an NGO. We are a journalistic hub working specifically on how crisis and conflict are covered, with a commitment to constructive, inclusive, solutions-oriented people-centred approaches that goes beyond rhetoric.
We are currently seeking funding to support our 2026 programme of work, which includes the delivery of a Collaborative Guide Programme, our podcast season, and the foundations of a sustainable organisation.
We are looking for funders who understand that systemic change in journalism takes time, that depth matters more than volume, and that the organisations doing the most important work are not always the loudest ones.
What we offer in return is transparency, integrity, and a genuine commitment to impact that outlasts any single grant cycle.
We are open to project funding, core funding, and proof-of-concept partnerships. We are not open to funding arrangements that compromise our editorial independence or ask us to grow faster than we are able to do well.

For partner organisations
Bring your field into better conversation with journalism
If your organisation works on a specific theme related to crisis, conflict, or social justice, the Collaborative Guide Programme offers a structured way to improve how that field is represented in the media.
As a partner, you would work with aidóni to design a programme around a thematic focus relevant to your work. We facilitate the process, bring in the journalists and other stakeholders, and produce a practical reporting guide that is editorially independent and freely available.
What partners gain is not coverage or promotion. It is something more durable: a well-resourced, credible process that surfaces knowledge, builds relationships between sectors, and produces resources that improve how your field is understood and reported on over time.
Partners contribute funding to support programme design, facilitation, guide production, and dissemination. Optional training and grant components can be added depending on scope.
All outputs remain editorially independent. That independence is not a caveat. It is what makes the work credible.

For journalists and storytellers
A space for reflection, not instruction
aidóni is not here to tell journalists how to do their jobs. We know the constraints you work under. We know that the gap between the journalism you want to make and the journalism you are able to make is often structural, not personal.
What we offer is a space to think: through our podcast conversations, our collaborative programmes, our writing, and the community we are building around these questions.

For communities and agents of change
Your knowledge belongs in this conversation
Journalists report on crises. Communities live them. That gap is exactly what aidóni exists to address.
If you represent a community, organisation, or movement whose realities are regularly covered in the media, and you have perspectives on how that coverage could be better, your knowledge is genuinely valuable to the work we do.
Participation in our programmes is designed to be reciprocal, not extractive. We do not invite community voices in to legitimise a process that has already been decided. We build the process around what participants bring.
